Jay Tholen - Your Sonic Residence

I'm sure you all know I like to toot my own horn (or is it hoot my own torn?); well now I have a good reason not to.

Fellow musician-type and friend Jay Tholen has released a stellar new digital EP for free this past week, called "Your Sonic Residence." The album shies away from Tholen's traditional chiptune style for a more pop sound (think "Down to Earth" by Peter Gabriel) and features 6 pieces of music. The highlights for me are Framework, The Dividing Sky, and Interval, but I really struggled to select these from the pack.

Jay is a master of various types of sound. and this latest attempt is nothing short of successful. Be sure to check out his chiptune work, especially if you're a fan of NES age video game music.
