Hey everyone! I've been pretty busy this summer, doing work for my co-op term at school, and also cramming in the last bit of polish for The Spirit Engine 2 soundtrack.

The home stretch has involved writing some choral music, mastering, tweaking tracks to remove bits that have proven to not fit, rearranging the position in the game, mastering, fiddling with in-game track volumes to match the area, mastering, and uh... oh yeah! Mastering!

That said, there are only a few days left until the release. If you're still getting excited, be sure to check out the Premonitions volumes!

Okay, this is a total side note to anything important or spectacular. As many of you know I'm in a 'band' called Poolside (check it out). It used to be me and my best friend, but when we went to college we sort of went separate ways, but I kept writing music under the moniker. Anyway, one of the first songs was this crappy One Winged Angel remix called Lifestream Blast. Long story short, it looks like someone found it and made a youtube video! Just a heads up, the song is old and mostly crummy, and my singing is just awful. Some people like it though! (:

I whipped this bad boy up in a few hours for Mark, who approved, so I decided to spread it like a little butterfly. It's to promote the game and release date.

Now this is for real. Besides, it's super cheesy!

The Spirit Engine 2 will be released on July 30th, 2008. Price and distribution method are being confirmed over the next few weeks and we will let you know as soon as we get things sorted out for sure. Yesterday saw the end to the "The Spirit Engine 2" cancer drive, where I offered a free copy of the Original Soundtrack to anyone who donated $5 or more.

Thanks to the help of my family, friends, close supporters, and my fans (you guys!), I was able to raise an astonishing $825.15. The original goal of $500 was quickly passed, and although we didn't quite make it to $1,000, I have no doubt that next year we'll have no problem making it.  read more »
